Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. Written to meet South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Last updated 4 October 2026.
Who we are
Turbotec is the equipment division of Turbo Action Productions, based in the Republic of South Africa. Turbo Action Productions is the responsible party for the personal information collected through turboteccorp.com.
Questions about your information go to [email protected].
What we collect
- Release list. Your email address, when you join it.
- Enquiries and RaceCage quotes. Your name, email, country, and anything you choose to add: phone number, configuration, existing hardware and notes.
- Orders. Your name, contact details and delivery address, so we can fulfil and deliver what you bought.
- Site usage. Anonymous, aggregated page statistics. See section 05.
We never see or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by our checkout and payment providers.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry or prepare your quote.
- To process, deliver and support your order.
- To email you about equipment releases, only if you joined the release list.
- To keep records the law requires, such as tax records for orders.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. Ever.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run the shop, each bound to protect it:
- Shopify, which runs our store, checkout and customer records.
- Our payment providers, which process payments securely.
- The Courier Guy and other carriers, which need your address to deliver.
- Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this website.
Some of these providers store information outside South Africa. Where they do, we rely on them to apply protection comparable to POPIA.
Cookies and analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It uses no cookies and builds no profile of you.
Your cart is remembered in your own browser’s storage so it survives a page reload. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it to us, or as long as the law requires. Release list addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Every release email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also simply email [email protected].
If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. Visitors in the EU or UK have equivalent rights under the GDPR, and can use the same email address to exercise them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date at the top.
